

Select the required driver(s) to communicate from the OPC Server directly to the specific device. The preferred method is running the server installation program and selecting only the OPC Quick Client for. For these clients you may need to add server registry entries to the client PC in order to obtain the proper CLSID for the server. KEPServerEX leverages OPC (the automation industrys standard for interoperability) and IT-centric communication protocols (such as SNMP, ODBC, and web services).

KEPSERVEREX OPC DRIVER
The Communication Driver is required to communicate to the PLC or other device. Some client applications may not support browsing remote PC’s for installed servers. Wonderware will not be able to communicate over the network until this is installed. Select the Wonderware SuiteLink and FastDDE option when installing the OPC Server. The Native Client Interface is required to communicate via SuiteLink from Wonderware to either TOP Server or KEPServerEx. It necessary to select the optional Native Client Client Interface in addition to selecting the required Communication Driver(s).

TOP Server or KEPServerEX OPC Server is often used when Wonderware does not have an available a native device integration server.
